Retail Incubator Pilot Program (November 4, 2019-February 7, 2020)

Introducing a new concept for local entrepreneurs, builders, dreamers, and change-makers. During this unique, twelve-week program, participants will take part in learning business skills, by completing courses, participating in discussions, hearing from global speakers.


  • Applications for this inaugural program are now open and very competitive. Before you apply, you have to be ready for the following:

    • Ready to own and operate your own retail business for at least two years in Osogbo, Osun state.

    • Be available for the weekly meetings in Atunse Innovation & Coworking Space

    • Have a viable (capable of working successfully) business idea.

  • The Atunse Retail Incubator is an opportunity to learn, own and operate a business, and have an opportunity for entrepreneurship, creating an employment pathway for yourself.

  • Participants will receive financial and business support to starting their own retail store at the end of the program

  • Two participants will be selected for the pilot program. Participants must have a minimum of secondary school completed education with proof of completion.

Business Criteria

  • Your business must be viable to work in the Osogbo market. You must be able to articulate why you think your retail business idea is viable.

  • Be creative, and have a change mindset.




Technology for Social Change (November 25, 2019-January 31, 2020)

In this program, we will identify a social program in Osogbo and draw on science, technology, design thinking, and data analytics to analyze the value that technology provides to promote positive social impact. Considering the social and cultural values of Osun State, how can we use technology to solve local programs? To what degree can social impact be developed with technology? 

Four individuals will be selected to participate in this program. The program will be coordinated by the Centre Coordinator and facilitated by the Founder and Digital Transformation Specialist.

This is an 8-week program. If selected, you are committing to attending the program once a week at the center and completing all the activities expected.

A stipend of 20,000.00 (twenty-thousand) Naira will be provided to participants upon completion of the program.

iLRN is a burgeoning global network of researchers and practitioners collaborating to develop the scientific, technical, and applied potential of immersive learning. Its annual conference is the premier scholarly event focusing on advances in the use of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), and other extended reality (XR) technologies to support learners and learning. Leading scholars and professionals operating in formal education settings as well as those representing diverse industry sectors will converge on the historic and picturesque coastal city of San Luis Obispo, California for iLRN 2020, where they will share their research findings, experiences, and insights; network and establish partnerships to envision and shape the future of XR and immersive technologies for learning; and contribute to the emerging scholarly knowledge base on how these technologies can be used to create experiences that educate, engage, and excite learners.

Atunse is inviting a working group of ten individuals to develop a research focus on Mixed Reality technologies and its potential impact in developing effective education practices for the African market.

To be considered for this delegation, you must be an educator, at the nursery, early childhood, primary and secondary level, higher education, or corporate training. Please note that this is a collaborative project.
